Since the beginning of his career, Simon Norfolk (Lagos, Nigeria, 1963) has photographed war zones and other conflicts such as the genocide in Rwanda, the war in Bosnia or different migratory crises. He has worked for years for the New York Times Magazine and is a photographer for National Geographic.
He has stood out for his treatment of landscape and architecture, which he captures in a multifaceted way, enclosing layered meanings that reveal his vision and strategies to achieve narrative effectiveness.
In this inaugural talk of the workshop he teaches at KBr Norfolk, he will talk with Arianna Rinaldo about his conception of war photography and how it affects the photographer.
