When Images are also written

Marta Gili and Mònica Roselló, directors of the series When Images are also Written, bring together voices from the fields of words and images to explore the ways in which both languages intersect in their formats and narrative strategies.
In the 21st century, conditioned by an abundance of images without context and hate speech, it seems important to reflect on the narratives that, through visual or literary artistic practice, help us to question the way we perceive our society.
The series features Laura Citarella and Andrea Soto Calderón; Bernardo Atxaga and Chema Madoz; Isaki Lacuesta and Jorge Volpi; Dalia Taha and Ahlam Shibli; Cecilia Fajardo-Hill and Grégory Chatonsky.
