Building New Meanings Through the Photobook

The Get Real! (Open Your Eyes!) program celebrates its sixth edition with a workshop led by visual artist Alejandro Cartagena (Santo Domingo, 1977). Over four intensive days, Cartagena will guide participants in creating a photobook mock-up. With a strong focus on narrative and alternative ways of generating meaning through images, the artist has found the photobook to be the ideal format for structuring visual storytelling.
