Jorge Ribalta, director of the cycle of lectures “Documentary Style Reconsidered. Contesting Walker Evans”, gathers different voices to address, from various perspectives, the history of the documentary discourse in photography, especially in the formative decades of the 1920s and 1930s, as well as the moment of critical reaction that took place in the 1970s and 1980s.<\/p>\n

The documentary genre is probably more ambiguous and complex than some definitions suggest, and this series invites that reflection.<\/p>\n
