L’artista russoamericana Anastasia Samoylova<\/strong> (Moscou, 1984) va ser la guanyadora de la primera edició (2021) del KBr Photo Award amb el projecte Image Cities<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n
El guardó, fallat per unanimitat, va reconèixer al projecte la seva originalitat com a reflexió entorn de l’evolució de la identitat visual de les grans urbs contemporànies i la capacitat de la fotografia per formar part d’aquesta identitat i difondre-la.<\/p>\n

Realitzat inicialment a Moscou i Nova York, Image Cities<\/em> es va poder ampliar i integrar imatges d\u2019altres 17 ciutats (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussel\u00b7les, Londres, Madrid, Par\u00eds o T\u00f2quio) gr\u00e0cies a l’obtenci\u00f3 d’aquest premi. Deu de les imatges del projecte han passat a formar part de la col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de la Fundaci\u00f3 Mapfre.<\/p>\n
Tal com estableixen les bases del premi, la Fundaci\u00f3 va exposar el projecte tant al KBr com a Madrid (febrer-maig i juny-setembre de 2023, respectivament). La versi\u00f3 en angl\u00e8s del cat\u00e0leg de l’exposici\u00f3 va anar a c\u00e0rrec de l’editorial alemanya Hatje Cantz.<\/p>\n
